“Saves my shields some damage.” Eva flew out of cover again and charged the Marauders. This is why she signed up to fight. The thrill of cocking her shotgun and blasting something in the face. It was more satisfying than she could describe. The kickback would be too much for a normal human but Shepard had been rebuilt from the ground up with cybernetic implants.
The drone successfully distracted the Reaper-infected Turians for the most part, leaving Shepard to take out one with her shotgun and biotically punch the second to oblivion before darting behind more cover to spare her shields.
“Whose having fun,” she called to her squad.
❝ If you consider this fun then we need to find you a hobby. ❞ Tali deadpanned with a shake of her head, a smirk invisible on her helmet-clad features.
Crouching low, the Quarian ducked out of cover, moving forward. Removing a thermal clip she began to fire before ducking behind a wall. ❝ Remind me to bypass the thermal capacity of the guns in the armory. These shotguns could do so much more damage. ❞
Kreet smiled at the woman as she spoke and nodded “Yeah we are far from home.” He said with a soft chuckle before speaking again “I’m Kreet Ferro Vas Rayya.” He said “And I’m living here on the Citadel.” He leaned forward on the railing and sighed softly.
❝ Rayya? That was where I was born. ❞
Tali said softly with another nod, looking across at the Quarian male.
❝ It is a pleasure to meet you Kreet. So, what brings you to the Citadel? ❞
“Tali you haven’t happened to see my swetshirt have you? I have yet to find it and it’s really cold.”he states looking at the women with a soft smile on his lips. “You haven’t seen it have you?”
❝ Maybe you should look into an envrio-suit, Shepard. ❞ The Quarian chuckles, looking up from the terminal she was working at. With a shake of her head she went back to typing.
❝ No I have not seen it; what would I do with your jacket, anyway? ❞
Kreet walk along the citadel humming to himself when he noticed another Quarian standing by herself. He walked over and cleared his throat “It’s been a while since I’ve seen another Quarian here.”
Tali was looking out over the Presdium, arms crossed over the railing as she leaned out into the air. Her eyes were closed, shoulders easy & still, that was, until a voice startled her & the Quarian opened her eyes, jerking back to look at the new presence. She smiled tensely, her voice gentle & smooth with relaxation. It was nice to be out of a cramped ship.
❝ I didn’t know there were any here on the Citadel, to be honest. I thought I was… alone. ❞ Saying as much, she turned back to the railing, hands resting on the metal. Immediately she caught herself, raising her head to look at the male once more.
❝ We’re far from home, aren’t we? I’m Tali’Zorah vas Normandy, by the way; are you here on a ship? ❞
“Tavi… vas Normandy?” he asked after a moment. He glanced over to her, looking her up and down and then suddenly snorted. “Right. I know you. Well, I mean I’ve seen you. On the vid screens. You’re from Shepard’s crew, yeah?”
❝ It means where I live. ❞ The Quarian chuckled, shaking her head, amused.
❝ It’s nice to meet someone who isn’t a diplomat. & yes, I’m from her crew. The Normandy. ‘Vas’ means crew of. You would be Tavi vas Citadel. ❞ She nods.
Tavi snickered immediately. “I fuckin’ hate politics but I also don’t get ‘em so that might be part of it. I like people that’re straight up and… well y’know. Vicious bosh’tet, heh.” He smiled though. “You seem alright though. What’s your name?”
❝ Tali’Zorah vas Normandy nar Rayya. But I guess I’m a far way from home… you can call me Tali. ❞ The Quarian says, a smile in her tone as she looks at the Turian.
❝ & you are? ❞
